Albuquerque cyclists, your input is needed! A new initiative is underway to create a Low-Stress Bike Map for the city—a map designed for riders of all ages and abilities, highlighting routes that are safe, comfortable, and stress-free. Traditional apps often prioritize speed over comfort, but this project puts the cycling community in the driver’s seat.

BikeABQ is partnering with Bike Streets to create a Low-Stress Bike Map for Albuquerque — a community-informed route network designed for people of all ages and abilities. Traditional mapping apps often prioritize the fastest route, not the most comfortable or bike-friendly one. Bike Streets focuses on identifying routes that minimize stress and maximize comfort for people biking.
We need your input to make a great map that you and your friends and family can use. Each week, for the next two months, BikeABQ will share candidate routes for your feedback. You can vote, comment on them, and even suggest your own favorite chill routes. The first set of candidate routes is now live.
Explore the map and participate here:https://bikestreets.com/nm/albuquerque/bike-map/

By sharing your local knowledge, you can help create a bike map that reflects how people actually ride in Albuquerque — and make low-stress biking easier for everyone.
