Ghost bike for Kayla Vanlandingham

O-25-98, an ordinance that strengthens Albuquerque’s traffic code to clarify motorist responsibilities and improve safety for everyone on our streets, passed the Land Use, Planning, and Zoning Committee on October 15 and was debated and amended by City Council on October 20.

The ordinance has now been postponed as amended to Wednesday, November 5, when it will return to the full City Council for a vote.

Now is the time to take action. Contact your City Councilor and ask them to vote YES on O-25-98 to support safer, more predictable streets for everyone who drives, walks, or bikes.

Review and sign our open letter in support of O-25-98 and find links to contact your councilor here.

Together, we can make Albuquerque’s streets safer and clearer for all road users.
