The City of Albuquerque Parks & Recreation Department has a new traffic garden just off the Rail Trail between Mountain Road and Bellamah Avenue. Traffic gardens—sometimes called Safety Towns, Safety Cities, or traffic playgrounds—are small-scale street networks where kids can learn to bike and practice real-world road skills in a safe, car-free space.
Join us Friday, September 18, from 5–7 PM to check out the new traffic garden. The event is open to all ages, so bring your bike and come ride, explore, and learn. The event is sponsored by Esperanza Bicycle Safety Education Center, Kidical Mass ABQ, and BikeABQ.
