The City of Albuquerque is seeking public feedback on a proposed redesign of Moon Street between Academy Road and Spain Road aimed at improving safety and connectivity for people walking, biking, and driving.
Planned improvements include roadway restriping, new bicycle crossing pavement markings at intersections, and the addition of a protected two-way cycle track along a portion of the corridor. The project is intended to enhance multimodal travel while improving visibility and safety for all roadway users.
A schematic design of the proposed improvements is attached and provides an overview of the planned changes along the corridor.
Community members are encouraged to review the design and share their comments with the project team. Feedback can be sent to melissaroseman@cabq.gov.
As Albuquerque continues to expand its bicycle and pedestrian network, projects like this provide opportunities for residents to help shape the future of transportation in their neighborhoods.
