BikeABQ’s 2025 Retrospective is here!

This year brought major wins for safer streets, stronger community, and better biking in Albuquerque. From big policy victories and new infrastructure to powerful community events and advocacy, 2025 showed what we can accomplish together.

Proud of the riders, volunteers, partners, and advocates who made this momentum possible — and inspired to keep pushing for safer, more connected streets in 2026.

BikeABQ is proud to share our 2025 Retrospective; a look back at a year filled with major wins for safety, infrastructure, advocacy, and community connection.

From record‑breaking events and powerful grassroots organizing to landmark policy victories like the Idaho Stop law and 0‑25‑98 traffic safety overhaul, this year showed what’s possible when Albuquerque comes together to build safer, more people‑centered streets.

Inside the report, you’ll find:

-  Highlights from community rides, forums, and celebrations

-  Key policy and legislative wins that will shape mobility for years to come

-  Infrastructure improvements across the city—from the first Rail Trail segment to protected crossings at I‑25

-  Stories of collaboration with partners across New Mexico

-  A heartfelt remembrance of cyclists lost this year

This retrospective is more than a recap—it’s a celebration of what our community achieved together and a reminder of the work still to come.
