About The Event
City Council decisions shape the streets we ride, walk, and live on every day. While only Districts 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 are up for election this year, the choices these councilors make affect transportation, safety and quality of life for the entire city. From how bike lanes are designed, to how sidewalks are maintained, to how safety is prioritized – their decisions impact every Albuquerque resident.
That’s why BikeABQ and Strong Towns ABQ are co-hosting a City Council Candidate forum – to put safe, people-first streets at the center of this year’s elections. This is your chance to hear directly from the candidates and show that safe, walkable, bikeable communities are a top priority for Albuquerque residents.
This forum will replace BikeABQs September General Membership meeting at Juno – we’ll all gather at the forum instead.
Join us, bring a neighbor, and help demonstrate that safe streets can’t wait!
