About The Event
We are thrilled to host group rides to Balloon Fiesta’s opening Mass Ascension on October 3rd!
Burqueños have long known that the best way to get to Balloon Fiesta is by bicycle, where you can skip the traffic and lines and go straight from the North Diversion Channel to the free Bike Valet. This year, to facilitate more people to discover the joy of biking to the festival, BikeABQ is leading six rides on the opening morning from various locations near the North Diversion Channel and the Bosque Trail:
Midtown: https://forms.gle/4UUbRNE3n2M7QsNw9
Cliff's:
Ride with your bike: https://forms.gle/KTn4W4js5nExBEgW8
Ride a Lime Scooter: (Registration closed)
Tingley Beach: https://forms.gle/1WvPekmf7qjWTATs6
Los Ranchos:
Ride your bike: https://forms.gle/v2CCUTx7WHr375tcA
Ride a Lime Scooter: (Registration closed)
Cottonwood: (Registration closed)
These rides are open to the public but registration is required. Each ride has its own registration link, above. We will have 12 Lime scooters available for participants at both the Cliff's and Los Ranchos rides, with a dedicated registration form for that option.
The rides will be departing with an expected arrival at the Bike Valet of about 6:40, and hence will be departing their respective locations a different times of the morning. Rides starting from Tingley Beach, UNM, and Midtown will be over 7 miles; while we expect all rides to be forced to a more leisurely pace on the trail north of Alameda, the earlier parts of the longer rides are expected to take place at a 14-15mph pace.
We hope to see you on the trails!
