Cycle to Balloon Fiesta 2017

Posted on Oct 16, 2017

** BikeABQ 3rd Annual CYCLE TO BALLOON FIESTA Ride, Sunday, October 15, 2017 6:00 AM start

BikeABQ members Dusty and Gay will lead the ride from UNM Parking Lot Q on University near KNME along the Diversion Channel Bike Path north to the Bike Valet at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta Park leaving at 6:00 AM. The ride will take about one hour and is 8 miles long.

For riders who want a shorter option, a midpoint meeting place to join the group will be where the Diversion Channel Bike Path goes under Singer Blvd., near the intersection of Singer and Chappell. Meet the group there at 6:30 AM.

At the end of the ride, bicycles are parked free and protected at the Balloon Fiesta Bike Valet.
All ride participants must have head and taillights, helmets, and water.
BikeABQ volunteers will be needed to help stop traffic (which should be minimal at 6:15 AM) on Indian School Road and to act as caboose riders to trouble shoot and help move the group along.

Please join us and bring your family and friends. This will be great fun for the bicycle riders and a grand adventure, especially for the young participants.  Questions?  Plan to join us?  Please email:
